#1. Stock units are pre-made, pre-cut, standard
size and contour. They are made to fit just anyone, and may not look
as natural as you would like. The color is chosen only from a color
swatch. Your custom hair replacement system is made to fit your shape & size
only. It is the most natural looking way to go. The color is matched
exactly to the sample you send and it does not come pre-cut so you
can style it any way you want. A custom unit can be made any shape
or size you need!
#2. There are several ways to attach a custom hair
system. The most common ways are:
Daily wear - We offer a variety of tapes you can use for daily wear. You can
also use clips to attach the system for daily wear.
Extended wear - This is usually 4-6 weeks. For this method of attachment there
are several types of tapes and adhesives you can use. For bonding, you can also
sew the system on using the track & sew method.
#3.Yes. As long as your hair system is properly
attached it will not come off while you are playing sports or swimming.
#4. A) Always clean your system with a mild PH shampoo
(4.5 - 5.5), such as The Piece Makers exclusive hair care line. Use
ONLY Luke warm water when rinsing your system. Hot water will not
seal the cuticle and can take away from shine
B) DO NOT shampoo in a circular motion. ALWAYS wash hair from scalp to ends
in a downward motion to avoid matting
C) Use cream type conditioners that do NOT contain Lanolin, Polymers, or heavy
oils. (These will cause matting in human hair) Use ONLY luke warm water when
rinsing your system. Hot water will not seal the cuticle and the conditioner
will not be as effective.
D) Be sure to keep the conditioners off the base of the unit because it can
cause base knots to soften, then the hair will fall out. Use Hair Knot and Tape
Tab Sealer to better ensure the security of the knots on the base of the system.
E) Use leave-in spray on conditioners also, to keep the hair soft, pliable,
and shiny. We recommend using Vita Silk.
F) If you do not use conditioners at all it will cause dryness and tangling.
G) Never brush wet hair, use a wide tooth comb. Brushing we hair can stretch
the hair to cause breakage, loss of elasticity, and may cause bald spots.
H) Stay away from products using SD-40 alcohol base. (SD-40 Alcohol from corn
is okay).
I) YOUR 6 MONTH GUARANTEE ONLY APPLIES IF YOU ARE AND HAVE ALWAYS USED THE
PIECE MAKERS RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS.
(FYI: This guarantee does not apply to lace fronts, full lace units or thin
poly skin.)
#5. This depends on your method of attachment. If
you choose daily wear, you will remove your system every night and
reattach with tapes or clip each morning. If you choose extended wear
you can go from 4-6 weeks before having your system retightened or
rebonded.
#6. Human hair is much more tangle-free, softer
and shinier than synthetic. It can be colored, permed and safely curled
with a curling iron. Synthetic hair is made up of fibers (Kanekalon & Toupelon)
and CANNOT be colored, permed or safely curled with a curling iron.
It is not as soft or tangle-free as human hair.
#7. Synthetic hair is made of fibers (Kanekalon & Toupelon).
Yak hair is organic or animal hair.
#8. Absolutely!! More money does not mean higher
quality. We are a factory direct distributor of custom hair systems.
We offer the same high quality hair systems as any of our priced competitors!
Guaranteed!
#9. Your hair system will last you a year or more
if it is properly cared for. However, if you have a lace front, lace
unit, or thin poly skin unit, these are considered disposable (lace
fronts can be made replaceable) and will only last a few months.
#10. Yes. As long as your system is in repairable
condition and is not made of lace or thin poly skin. Lace or think
poly skin fronts can be replaced as long as the unit is originally
made with a replaceable front. |
